The Work Center is responsible for receiving maintenance requests for all campuses at The University of Toledo, which include Main Campus, Scott Park Campus, and Health Science Campus. Service Requests are documented through the generation of work orders, which are transmitted to the appropriate supervisor responsible for that work. Requests for service can be made via telephone, e-mail, TMS on-line request system, FAX, or in person. The Work Center acts as a base for two-way radio communication to tradesmen and supervisors, relaying information concerning routine and non-routine maintenance problems.

Key Control functions are performed in the Work Center. Requests are received, documented and transmitted to the Lock Shop for key cutting. Once cut, the keys are returned to Key Control and the individual is notified. Keys are dispensed with proper photo identification. Receipts are provided when keys are returned and a clearance process is followed when an individual separates from the University.

Moving and Recycling services are documented through the work order system.  This service is provided for individuals and departments who require in-house or contracted moving services.
