    • SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES for University College Degree Program (UCDP) Students.These scholarships are for the 2009-2010 academic year. Deadline is April 1, 2009.     • Check out the Scholarships Scholarship and Awards Guide Web site, which lists several general scholarhsips.
    •  PROGRAM REVIEW for Individualzed Studnets who need their programs reviewed, Faculty Review will take place during the 4th and 12th weeks of the Spring 2009 semester.  Consider getting started on the paperwork over the break.
    •  MAY GRADUATION - a reminder for students who hope to graduate in May 2009. You will need to apply for graduation with Rocket Solutions.Click here for details.

       

    Interdisciplinary and Special Programs

    The Department of Interdisciplinary and Special Programs (ISP) houses degree programs offered by University College Degree Programs:

    • Adult Liberal Studies (B.A. in Liberal Studies)
    • Individualized Programs (B.A. or B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies)

    These degree programs are interdisciplinary and oriented to students' unique individual needs. They also serve as degree completion options.

    Who should consider University College bachelor degree programs?

    • Individuals with diverse interests and career goals that are not being met by existing UT degree programs
    • Individuals with significant transfer credits seeking a quality, four-year university education
    • Individuals with associate degrees looking to expand their education by obtaining a bachelor’s degree

    The Portfolio Development Program, Internships, and Field Experience programs are intended for accelerated degree programs for non-traditional students.

     

    Academic Skills Enhancement Program

    The ISP Department also houses the curricular component on The University of Toledo's Academic Skills Enhancement program. Skills courses include Academic Writing, College Reading, and College Study Strategies and Orientation. ISP faculty members also offer courses in Career and Self-Evaluation and Creative Problem Solving.
